In doing so, they have conserved over 1,000,000 barrels of fossil fuels and avoided the release of more than 700,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The CO2 saving is equivalent to the use of nearly 4,500,000 lbs of coal. French produces surplus for the local utility, supplying clean energy to the community.
